DB allowed state to go a head for floor test for the post of Chairman LAHDC Kargil

Jammu, Aug 24: A LPA seeking stay of floor test for the post of Chairman LAHDC, A Division Bench of State High Court comprising Chief Justice N Paul Vasanathakumar and Justice Dhiraj Singh Thakur after hearing Adv Mohsin Qadri appearing for the appellant whereas Advocate General Jehangir Iqbal Ganai appearing for the state, observed that Advocate General has produced notification dated 12.08.2016 directing that for the words "each elected member" appearing in Clause (c) of Rule 94 A of the Ladakh Autonomous Hill Development Council (Election) Rules, 1995, the words “each member” shall be substituted and the nominated members can vote.
Upon this Division Bench directed that the floor test is scheduled to be held on 27.08.2016 and declaration of the result shall be subject to result in the writ petition as well as the appeal. JNF
