Go Green Drive organized at Ratnuchak

JAMMU, Aug 24: Making India a Green and healthy place for living is the responsibility of every citizen and every individual must be committed to this cause. Keeping up with its commitment in that direction, Sabre Brigade under the Rising Star Corps carried out a well planned afforestation drive in Ratnuchak Military Station, Jammu over a span of four days from 20 August 2016 to 23 August 2016 which not only saw tree plantation in the Army but also covered villages of Ratnuchak, Birpur, Jaluchak adjoining the Military Station.
This 'Go Green' initiative by the Army saw a total of 205 families of the formation participating in the noble cause. As part of this drive a total of 340 various types of trees to include Mango, Jaamun and Sheesham were planted.
This is part of a continuous and relentless effort put in by the Army for better habitat.

and awareness amongst people staying in and around the military station, thus giving the much needed impetus on environmental protection.
