People should respect an actor’s personal space: Kriti Sanon

25/09/2016

Today, with the rise of social media, the whereabouts of Bollywood actors are often well-known. It is also common for fans to click pictures of celebrities without their permission and post them online. Ask Kriti Sanon about this trend, and she says, “It doesn’t scare me, but it’s annoying.
Even if you are an actor, people should respect your personal space. Before being an actor, you are a human being. I don’t like it when people don’t ask me before clicking my pictures. The least one can do is request me for a picture; I would happily oblige.”
The actor, who hails from a non-film background, says she doesn’t feel “lonely” amidst her contemporaries such as Alia Bhatt, Varun Dhawan and Tiger Shroff, who are star kids.
“I have signed up with agencies that take care of me. But I do feel a little lost at Bollywood parties, as I don’t know people too well. It’s becoming better gradually,” she says.
There’s a perception that friendships in Bollywood don’t last. But Kriti disagrees. “I don’t know how much of that [saying] is true. All the people who are working together are friendly towards each another.
I have had a very good equation with everybody I have worked with so far. The only problem is that people are so busy; nobody has the time [to maintain friendships],” she says.
