I Venkat of Eenadu group is new ABC Chairman

Mumbai: I Venkat, Director, Eenadu, has been unanimously elected Chairman of Audit Bureau of Circulations (ABC) for 2016-17.
Venkat, who is also the Chairman of Media Research Users Council (MRUC), is a past chairman of Advertising Standards Council of India, founder-member of MRUC as well as Indian Broadcasting Foundation (IBF). He is on the Board of IBF, International News Media Association, Broadcast Audience Research Council and has had a long innings in the Indian Newspaper Society as a Board member.
An ABC release said Debabrata Mukherjee, Vice-President Marketing and Commercial India and South West Asia, Coca Cola India, representing the Advertisers category in the Council was unanimously elected as Deputy Chairman of the ABC for the year. Members on the ABC Council of Management for 2016-17 are: Publishers representatives: I Venkat, Ushodaya Enterprises Pvt. Ltd, Shailesh Gupta, Jagran Prakashan Ltd, Hormusji N. Cama, The Bombay Samachar Pvt. Ltd, Benoy Roychowdhury, HT Media Ltd, Chandan Majumdar, ABP Pvt Ltd, Raj Kumar Jain, Bennett, Coleman & Co Ltd, Pratap G Pawar, Sakal Papers Pvt Ltd, and Devendra V Darda, Lokmat Media Pvt Ltd. Advertisers representatives: Debabrata Mukherjee, Coca Cola India Pvt Ltd, Hemant Malik, ITC Limited, Honorary Secretary, Sandip Tarkas, Future Retail Ltd, Mayank Pareek, Tata Motors Ltd.
