DEO Baramulla reviews Summary Revision preparedness

BARAMULLA, Dec 2: District Election Officer Baramulla, Dr Nasir Ahmad Naqash, today convened a meeting regarding Special Summary Revision of electoral rolls.
Deputy District Election Officer, AEROs, EROs, BLOs and other concerned attended the meeting.
The meeting was told that Election Commission of India (ECI) has scheduled the special summary revision of electoral rolls with January 01, 2017 as qualifying date.
On the occasion, issues like implementation of the Schedule, issuance of notice, receipt of claims/objections, addition/deletion of contents of EPICs, weekly progress report, preparation of checklist along with the format 6,6A,7 and 8 for roll observer and engagement of staff with the revision was threadbare discussed.
Speaking on the occasion, the DEO stressed on implementation of the guidelines of ECI in letter and spirit and urged for 100% enrolment of the voters of the district.
