Vikas gets International award for Outstanding Faculty

Jammu, July 23: Dr. Vikas Sharma, son of Harbans Lal Sharma and Pushplata Sharma of Channi Himmat and grandson of Pt. Amarnath gets Venus International Faculty Award-2017 (VIFA-2017).
The award i.e., Outstanding Faculty in Agriculture (specialization-Biochemistry) was conferred to Dr Sharma on the recommendation of Board of Management and Expert Committee report of Venus International Foundation, an ISO 9001: 2008 certified organization, committed to recognize extraordinary teachers who demonstrated a track record of academic excellence reflected by distinct / sustained contributions to the Institution over many years, membership in prestigious professional forums and other kinds of selective positions of leadership via its Centre for Advanced Research and Design. The award that contains a Certificate of Excellence, Bronze Medal along with momento was presented to Dr. Sharma at 3rd Contemporary Academic Meet-2017 (CAM-2017) of VIFA at Green Park, Chennai City, India which was attended by more than
200 delegates from eleven different countries.
Working as Asstt. Professor in the Division of Biochemistry, Faculty of Basic Sciences, SKUAST-Jammu, Dr. Sharma has 11 years experience of research and teaching. He has more than 100 publications of National and International to his credit including full length research papers, book chapters, abstracts, articles etc. He is a Fellow Member of many prestigious societies. He is recipient of Best Educationist, Young Scientist and Best Personality of India Award. In addition he got many appreciation certificates from various Govt. Organizations for his contributions in the field of Science.
