Randhawa gets registered under PM Surya ghar Yojana; urges people to take maximum benefits of the scheme

JAMMU, Oct 17: MLA Bahu Vikram Randhawa today visited PDD Sub divisional office at Gandhi Nagar to get registered under PM Surya ghar Yojana and urged people of the constituency to get registered under the scheme.
While explaining the benefits of the scheme he said that after the approval of the Administrative Council, Government of Jammu and Kashmir, the Jammu Power Distribution Corporation Limited (JPDCL) has announced the grant of UT subsidy on PM Surya Ghar Muft Bijli Yojana. The details of the Centre subsidy are Rs 33,000 for 1 kW solar system, Rs 66,000 for 2 kW solar system & Rs 85,800 for 3 kW solar system with additional UT subsidy of Rs 3000 for 1 KW, Rs 6000 for 2 KW and Rs 9000 for 3 KW which makes total subsidy of Rs 36,000 for 1 KW; Rs 72,000 for 2 KW and Rs 94,800 for 3 KW. All eligible consumers who have applied for the PM Surya Ghar Muft Bijli scheme will be entitled to the above-mentioned UT subsidy, in addition to the central subsidy.
He added that installation of solar systems will make the consumers self reliant in power generation and Honourable PM Sh. Narendra Modi has envisaged that 1 crore households will be made self-reliant in power generation. While registering for the scheme, MLA Bahu Vikram Rand-hawa also explained that all the leading banks are offering interest for the scheme at very lucrative rates which will ensure that no extra burden is added to the households.
JPDCL officials including Executive Engineer ED-II Ashok Chibber, Executive Engineer STD-II Sanjeev Rometra, Executive Engineer ED-I, Avneet Gupta, Executive Engineer STD-I HS Puri, AEE Gandhi nagar Nitin Mahajan, AE Gandhi Nagar Vishal Anand among others were present during the registration.
