Students of GDC RS Pura participates in marathon organized

Jammu, Feb 15: Stud-ents from Government Degree College R. S. Pura actively participated in a Marathon organized by the Jammu and Kashmir Police Department, as part of the ongoing Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyaan (Drug-Free India Campaign) under the able guidance of Prof.(Dr.) Preetpal Kour, Principal of the college and coordination of Prof. Neelam Kumari, Convener Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyaan and Dr. Sunil Kumar Mangoch.
The event held on 15-02-2025 aimed to raise awareness about the dangers of substance abuse and promote a healthy, drug-free lifestyle.
The marathon witnessed enthusiastic participation from students, educators, and community members, with the students of GDC R. S. Pura standing out in their commitment to the cause. The event served as a platform to spread the message of a drug-free society, with students engaging in the race while advocating for the importance of physical fitness and mental well-being.
The Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyaan initiative, launched by the Gov-ernment of India, seeks to eliminate the menace of substance abuse across the nation. By participating in this event, students not only displayed their athletic spirit but also played an active role in promoting the national campaign against drugs.
Prof. (Dr.) Preetpal Kour, Principal of GDC R. S. Pura, praised the students for their proactive involvement in such an important cause and thanked the Jammu and Kashmir Police Department for organizing the event.
She emphasized the importance of such awareness programs in shaping a healthier, more responsible generation.
The marathon concluded with a ceremony to honor the top performers, and participants were appreciated for their dedication to the cause of building a Nasha Mukt (drug-free) society.
