JAMMU, Feb 15: Reaffirming his commitment to modernizing civic infrastructure, BJP leader and MLA West Constituency, Arvind Gupta stated that Jammu is steadily progressing towards becoming a well-planned and developed city under the regime of Modi government. He emphasized that improving the drainage system, roads, and sanitation facilities is crucial for enhancing the quality of life for residents.
The MLA was speaking after inaugurating the upgradation work of the drainage system at Ward No. 25, behind Dayal House near the residence of Dr. Jitender Udhampuri. The project, sanctioned at a cost of Rs. 8.5 lakh, aims to resolve persistent drainage issues, prevent waterlogging, and enhance sanitation in the locality.
Addressing the gathering, Arvind Gupta emphasized the importance of a well-maintained drainage system in ensuring a clean and healthy city. He stated that poor drainage leads to water stagnation, which not only damages roads but also creates unhygienic conditions, increasing health risks for residents. "Our goal is to make Jammu a model city with efficient drainage, clean roads, and better civic amenities," he said. He also assured the public that more such development projects will be undertaken to uplift the infrastructure across Jammu West.
Arvind Gupta reaffirmed his commitment to strengthening Jammu's infrastructure and urged citizens to support government efforts by maintaining cleanliness and reporting civic issues promptly. He also encouraged residents to engage actively in development discussions to help shape a better future for the city. He promised to focus on systematic development, ensuring that every ward in Jammu West gets the attention it deserves. With such initiatives, Jammu is steadily progressing towards becoming a well-planned and modern city, he added.
