POONCH/DODA, Mar 23: Security forces have launched a joint search operation after some 'suspicious movement' was noticed in the general area of Sangla in Surankot, in Jammu and Kashmir's Poonch district.
The joint operation was launched by the Indian Army's Romeo Forces along with the Poonch Police, according to the officials.
Further details are awaited in the case.
Earlier on Thursday, a blast took place near a police vehicle in the Thanamandi area of Rajouri , the Jammu and Kashmir police said.
No injuries were reported in the blast.
Meanwhile, Security forces have recovered arms and ammunition from a terrorist hideout unearthed in the woods of Bhalra area of Bhaderwah in Doda district.
Official sources here on Sunday said that during a routine search by the joint team of army, Special Operations Group (SOG) and police on Saturday evening, they recovered one pistol, three magazines and rounds of AK assault rifle from the hideout in Bhalra forest area of Bhaderwah.
"The search operation was launched on specific inputs regarding movement of suspects in the area," they added.
However, a separate search operation is also underway in Chatroo area of Kishtwar district.
