KATHUA/JAMMU, May 12: The successor Master (Guru) of Radha Soami Satsang Beas, Jasdeep Singh Gill, today visited various places across Jammu & Kashmir and blessed lakhs of disciples (sangat) with the grace of his darshan. During his visit, he also answered questions from seekers at different satsang centres, offering spiritual guidance on several aspects of life, including mental peace, studies, anger, karma and meditation.
Hazur Ji flew in his chopper from Dera Baba Jaimal Singh, the international headquarters of the RSSB organisation, and first landed at the Kathua Satsang Centre. The arrival of Hazur Ji filled the atmosphere with devotion and excitement as thousands of disciples had gathered since early morning for a glimpse of their beloved Master.
As soon as his chopper landed at the Kathua Satsang Centre, Hazur Ji proceeded to the dais (stage), where he sat on a chair and began an open Question-and-Answer session with young fortunate seekers who had been randomly selected from among nearly 25,000 disciples present there. The entire sangat listened attentively as both male and female seekers asked questions related to spirituality, daily life, stress, studies, relationships and meditation.
After the interactive Q&A session, which was witnessed by all the disciples present in the satsang centre, Hazur Ji gave "darshan" to the sangat. While the disciples remained seated in disciplined rows, their beloved Master walked on foot through the pathways and aisles of the satsang centre, showering his love and grace upon everyone. The atmosphere turned deeply emotional, and many seekers could be seen with tears rolling down their faces out of immense love, gratitude and reverence for their Guru.
Following the one-hour programme at Kathua, Hazur Ji flew to Pouni in District Reasi, where once again thousands of seekers had gathered eagerly to receive his darshan. Similar to the Kathua programme, Hazur Ji addressed the sangat through a Question-and-Answer session, patiently listening to the queries of young seekers and responding with simplicity, warmth and spiritual wisdom.
After Pouni, the RSSB Guru flew in his white helicopter to Bhawani in Nowshera of District Rajouri, where a beautiful RSSB centre is situated in a village near the Line of Control (LOC). Thousands of disciples from nearby villages and remote areas of Nowshera had assembled at the Bhawani Centre to catch a glimpse of the Master and listen to his spiritual guidance. The sight of thousands of seekers being peacefully managed in the small village created a spiritually charged and remarkable atmosphere.
After visiting the Bhawani Centre near the LOC, Hazur Ji flew to the Rajouri Centre and later proceeded to the Babore Centre in Doda district. At every place, the programme followed a similar format, where seekers got the opportunity to ask questions directly to Hazur Ji, who answered them with compassion, clarity and subtle humour.
During this whirlwind spiritual tour of Jammu & Kashmir, Hazur Ji addressed lakhs of disciples who had been longing for his darshan. Through his answers, he not only comforted the sangat spiritually but also addressed practical issues faced by today's youth and society.
Speaking about depression and mental stress, Hazur Ji advised seekers to slow down and accept life as it unfolds. He explained that much of human suffering arises from expectations and the constant desire to control outcomes. He counselled young seekers not to become excessively attached to expected results and instead allow life to take its natural course. According to Hazur Ji, simran-bhajan calms the restless mind and gradually helps a person accept life's situations with peace and maturity.
Responding to a question regarding studies and examination results, Hazur Ji said that while sincere hard work and dedication are in one's own hands, the final outcome should always be left to Almighty God. He reminded the youth that marks and examination results do not define the true character of a person. Rather, it is virtues such as honesty, humility, compassion and discipline that shape an individual's character and determine the quality of one's life.
On the issue of anger and frustration, Hazur Ji explained that anger never solves problems but instead damages relationships and creates misery within oneself. He said frustration and anger only spoil the peace of mind and negatively affect both family and social relationships. He advised seekers to remain calm, cheerful and accepting in every situation.
Hazur Ji further said that one should remain thankful to the Lord not only for what He has provided, but also for what He has not provided, because the Almighty may have ordained something better. Explaining the spiritual concept of karma, he said that every human being is passing through the cycle of karmas - settling old karmas while simultaneously creating new ones. Therefore, he advised seekers to live carefully and consciously so that they do not create fresh negative karmas, and instead spend this precious human life joyfully while remaining in tune with the Almighty's divine will.
The Master also added moments of gentle humour during the interactions, creating a light and affectionate atmosphere among the young seekers. In one such interaction, Hazur Ji playfully referred to a well-built young man as a "bodybuilder," drawing smiles and laughter from the gathering.
Encouraging the younger generation, Hazur Ji urged them to first become good human beings before chasing worldly achievements. He repeatedly stressed the importance of simran-bhajan in daily life. During one interaction, a female seeker expressed difficulty in concentrating during bhajan. In response, Hazur Ji explained with a simple analogy that just as a person cooks food, eats it and the body digests it naturally without conscious effort, similarly simran and bhajan gradually generate spiritual strength and inner energy even if one does not immediately realise its effects.
The visit of Hazur Ji to different parts of Jammu & Kashmir left the sangat spiritually uplifted and emotionally overwhelmed, as lakhs of disciples received the rare opportunity of having the darshan of their beloved Master and listening directly to his spiritual guidance.
It may be mentioned here that Hazur Jasdeep Singh is an IIT graduate and PHD from Cambridge.
n 2 September 2024, he was appointed as the successor to Baba ji - Gurinder Singh and serves as the Patron and Sant Satguru Designate of Radha Soami Satsang Beas (RSSB), a spiritual organisation. Prior to this, Hazur had a career in the management consulting and pharmaceutical industries, most recently serving as Chief Strategy Officer at Cipla. He is an alumnus of Indian Institute of Technology Delhi (B.Tech, M.Tech) University of Cambridge (PhD) and Massachusetts Institute of Technology (M.S.)
