NEET paper leak shakes students’ faith in system: Sadhotra

Jammu, May 14: Ajay Kumar Sadhotra on Wednesday expressed concern over alleged NEET paper leak incidents, saying such controversies have shaken the confidence of students and aspirational youth in the examination system. The Additional General Secretary of Jam-mu and Kashmir National Conference was interacting with youth at Kulien in Jammu North Assembly Constituency.
Sadhotra termed the paper leak issue a serious setback for students prep-aring for national-level examinations & said repe-ated controversies in recr-uitment and entrance tests were creating uncertainty and anxiety among educated youth. He said students work hard with dedication and discipline to compete in examinations and any ma-nipulation in the process adversely affects their morale and trust in institutions.
"The youth are the future of the nation and their trust in institutions must remain intact," he said while seeking a foolproof and credible mechanism for conducting NEET examinations. The NC leader said transparent recruitment systems and fair examinations were essential for strengthening faith in democratic institutions and governance. Referring to Chief Minister Omar Abdullah's announ-cement regarding filling of 25,000 vacancies in government departments, Sadhotra said the initiative would provide relief to educated unemployed youth & create employment opportunities.He said the proposed recruitment drive had generated hope among dese-rving candidates & urged youth to remain focused & prepare for the upcoming selection processes. Sadh-otra also highlighted the party's commitment tow-ards inclusive developme-nt and balanced growth in all regions and sub-regions of Jammu and Kashmir.
