HC announces 15-day summer vacation for Jammu summer zone district courts

Jammu, May 16: The High Court of Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh has announced a 15-day summer vacation for district courts falling under the summer zone of Jammu province from June 8 to June 22, 2026, both days inclusive.
According to a notification issued by the office of the Registrar General, the vacation will apply to courts functioning in the summer zone areas of Jammu province.
However, the break will not apply to courts located in District Kishtwar, District Doda, and courts at Batote, Gool, Banihal and Ukhral in Ramban district, besides Bani in Kathua district.
The notification further directed Principal District and Sessions Judges and Chief Judicial Magistrates of the concerned districts to make suitable arrangements for dealing with urgent criminal matters during the vacation period. The order has been issued by M.K. Sharma, Registrar General, High Court of Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh.
