PTTI Vijaypur organises mega multi specialty health, cancer awareness camp

Vijaypur, May 24: The Police Technical Training Institute (PTTI), Vijaypur, in collaboration with Diva International Foundation, organised a one-day mega multi-specialty health and cancer awareness camp at the institute premises on Saturday, aimed at promoting preventive healthcare and creating awareness about early detection of cancer among police trainees, staff and their families.
The camp was inaugurated by Shri Ranjit Singh Sambyal, IPS, Principal, PTTI Vijaypur, in the presence of S. Amardeep Singh Sasan, Chairman and CEO of Diva International Foundation, along with senior officers and dignitaries.
A team of around 30 senior doctors, medical specialists and para-medical staff from various healthcare institutions participated in the event and provided medical consultations and services throughout the day. A large number of police trainees, ministerial staff, subordinate staff and their family members attended the camp and availed free medical facilities, consultations and medicines, officials said.
The health camp provided general OPD consultations, free medicines, blood pressure and diabetes screening, eye examinations and vision testing, laboratory investigations and diagnostic tests, besides counselling on cancer awareness and preventive healthcare.
Specialised consultations were also offered in orthopaedics, gastroenterology, neurology, ENT, gynaecology, oncology and cancer care.
Doctors highlighted the importance of regular health check-ups, healthy lifestyle practices and early diagnosis of diseases, particularly cancer and lifestyle-related ailments. Awareness sessions were also conducted on preventive healthcare measures and timely medical intervention.
