Dr Sunil Bhardwaj holds public darbar at Basantgarh, addresses civic issues

Ramnagar, May 24: MLA Dr Sunil Bhardwaj on Saturday organised a public darbar at Basantgarh in Ramnagar constituency and interacted with residents, hearing grievances related to civic amenities and developmental works.
The programme witnessed participation from local residents, PRI representatives, youth, social activists and party workers, while officers from various departments were present to address issues raised by the public, organisers said.
During the interaction, Dr Bhardwaj heard grievances concerning roads, electricity, water supply, healthcare, education, ration distribution and other public services and directed officials concerned to ensure prompt redressal of complaints.
Addressing the gathering, he said governance should reach every household, particularly in remote and hilly areas.
He announced that road projects under the Prime Minister Gram Sadak Yojana (PMGSY) worth nearly Rs 60 crore were being expedited in the region.
Dr Bhardwaj also said that Rs 3.80 crore had been sanctioned for permanent restoration of six damaged roads in Block Basantgarh.
Highlighting infrastructure and healthcare initiatives, he announced Rs 33 lakh for construction of an approach road to Basantgarh Hospital and Rs 1.20 crore for construction of the Chanjju Bridge.
He further announced Rs 85 lakh for construction of a guest house at Gandh Top with an aim to promote tourism in the region. Dr Bhardwaj said all sanctioned projects would be implemented with transparency and regular monitoring.
He reiterated that balanced development and public welfare remained among his priorities and said efforts were being made to strengthen infrastructure and improve public services across the constituency.
Among those present on the occasion were SDM Basantgarh, BDO Basantgarh, Tehsildar Basantgarh, DSP Basantgarh, Kewal Parihar, Dikshant Sharma, Pooja Thakur, Shapan Singh, Ishwat Singh, Kuldeep Singh and officials from various departments.
