Government Polytechnic Samba signs MoU with PPS Trucking for industry collaboration

SAMBA, June 1: Government Polytechnic Samba has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with PPS Trucking, a major authorised dealer of Bharat Benz trucks and buses, to strengthen industry-academia collaboration and enhance skill development opportunities for students.
The MoU was signed by Principal Er. Vinay Gupta and PPS Trucking CEO Vikram Dhiman in the presence of Training and Placement Officer Er. Sanam Gupta and other dignitaries from both organisations.
The partnership aims to bridge the gap between academic learning and industry requirements by providing students with practical exposure through internships, placement opportunities, skill development programmes, industrial visits and project work.
Speaking on the occasion, Vikram Dhiman said the collaboration would help nurture young talent and prepare students for successful careers in the automotive industry.
"We are excited to collaborate with Government Polytechnic Samba. Investing in vocational education is crucial for the growth of our industry. This MoU will enable us to identify promising talent, develop their skills and prepare them for future opportunities," he said.
Principal Er. Vinay Gupta described the agreement as a significant milestone for the institution and reaffirmed its commitment to providing industry-relevant education.
"This partnership with PPS Trucking will empower our students to become industry-ready professionals and contribute effectively to the automotive sector," he said.
The principal also appreciated the efforts of the institution's Training and Placement Cell, including Er. Sanam Gupta,
Er. Ajay Mangotra, Er. Kamal Kumar, Er. Chanderdeep and Narayan Singh, for facilitating the collaboration.
The institution said the initiative is expected to enhance employability and provide students with greater exposure to real-world industrial practices.
