The incident took place in the Ganjiwara area of the south Kashmir district when a poplar tree fell on a CRPF bunker, injuring two civilians – Mohammad Rafiq and his wife Mareena from Brariangan.
No CRPF personnel were injured in the incident.

The fallen tree halted traffic for some time, they said.
Rain lashed many parts of Kashmir on Tuesday, with Srinagar and other plain areas in the Valley witnessing a late afternoon shower, bringing respite from the hot conditions, the officials said.
The meteorological department said a spell of rain/thundershower would continue for a few hours.
People have been advised to stay away from loose structures/electric wires/poles and old trees during thunderstorms/lightning.
The weather office also advised suspending boating/shikara rides in the Dal Lake, its surrounding areas and other water bodies for a few hours.
