Congress stages protest in Akhnoor over Ayodhya temple donation issue, seeks Education Minister’s resignation

Jammu, Jul 8: The Jammu and Kashmir Congress on Tuesday staged a protest at Akhnoor, demanding a thorough investigation into the alleged irregularities in donations at the Ram Temple in Ayodhya and seeking the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan over alleged examination paper leaks. The protest was led by Pradesh Congress Committee Working President Raman Bhalla and attended by the party's chief spokesperson Ravinder Sharma, Prof. Ashok Bhagat, Seva Dal chief Vijay Sharma, Bharat Priye, Kuldeep Sharma, Mangal Bral, Romesh Verma, Baldev Raj Bhagat, Joginder Sharma and other party leaders.
Carrying placards and raising slogans, the protesters demanded an independent and transparent probe into the alleged donation-related irregularities at the Ram Temple. They called for identifying those responsible and taking appropriate legal action against them.
Addressing the gathering, Bhalla expressed concern over the reported irregularities and said the matter should be investigated through an independent probe monitored by the Supreme Court to ensure accountability and transparency. He also called for strict action against anyone found guilty.
The Congress leader also demanded greater transparency in the management of temple donations and said the concerns of devotees should be addressed through a fair investigation.
The protesters also raised the issue of alleged examination paper leaks, including NEET, and demanded the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan. They urged the Centre to undertake comprehensive reforms to strengthen the examination system and safeguard the interests of students.
Ravinder Sharma criticised the handling of the education sector and alleged that repeated paper leaks had adversely affected students and their careers. He called for systemic reforms to restore confidence in the examination process.
