Jasrotia launches Rs. 96 lakh development works in Jasrota, holds public outreach programme

Jammu, Jul 9: BJP MLA from Jasrota Rajiv Jasrotia on Thursday launched development projects worth over Rs. 96 lakh in his constituency, including road infrastructure works and upgraded school facilities, besides interacting with residents during a public outreach programme at Badholi.
Jasrotia laid the foundation stone for a Public Works Department (PWD) road from Chilkh West, Badholi Road to Mohalla Barber to be constructed at an estimated cost of Rs. 58 lakh.
He also inaugurated the foundation stone for the Badholi-Kirmichi road project, estimated to cost Rs. 20 lakh.
According to officials, the projects are aimed at improving rural connectivity, facilitating transportation and providing better access to educational institutions, healthcare facilities and markets.
The legislator also inaugurated newly constructed infrastructure at Government Middle School, Galli, completed at a cost of Rs. 18.02 lakh. The upgraded facilities are expected to improve the learning environment for students and teachers.
Addressing the gathering, Jasrotia said infrastructure development remains central to improving public services and promoting balanced growth across rural and urban areas. He said better roads, educational infrastructure and responsive governance contribute significantly to improving the quality of life.
He said the government is giving priority to strengthening rural infrastructure and public facilities to ensure that development reaches every village.
Later, Jasrotia held a public outreach programme at Badholi, where residents from different villages and panchayats raised issues related to roads, drinking water, electricity, irrigation, healthcare, education, revenue matters, pensions and other civic services.
The MLA assured the people that genuine public grievances would be taken up with the concerned departments on priority and directed officials present to initiate prompt action on issues requiring immediate attention.
He also called upon officials to work in close coordination with local representatives to ensure timely execution of development works and effective implementation of welfare schemes at the grassroots level.
