University of Jammu felicitates two professors on appointment as Vice-Chancellors

Jammu, Jul 9: The University of Jammu on Thursday felicitated two of its senior faculty members, Prof. Rajnikant and Prof. Rajeev Rattan, on their appointment as Vice-Chancellors of Usha Martin University, Ranchi, and Sindhu Central University, Ladakh, respectively. The felicitation ceremony was led by University Vice-Chancellor Prof. Umesh Rai.
Prof. Rajnikant, former Dean, Research Studies, Dean, Faculty of Sciences, and former Head of the Department of Physics, has been appointed Vice-Chancellor of Usha Martin University, Ranchi.
Prof. Rajeev Rattan, Head of the Department of Education and former Dean, Faculty of Education, has been appointed Vice-Chancellor of Sindhu Central University, Ladakh.
Congratulating the two academicians, Prof. Rai described their appointments as a matter of pride for the University and said they reflected the institution's commitment to academic excellence, leadership and quality higher education.
He expressed confidence that both would provide visionary leadership to their respective universities, promote academic innovation, strengthen research and institutional governance, and contribute to the advancement of higher education.
Prof. Rajnikant and Prof. Rajeev Rattan thanked the Vice-Chancellor and the University fraternity for the felicitation and acknowledged the support and opportunities they received during their academic careers at the University of Jammu.
The ceremony was attended by Prof. Neelu Rohmetra, Dean Research Studies; Prof. J.P. Singh Joorel, Dean Academic Affairs; Prof. Sangita Gupta, Dean Planning and Development; Dr. Neeraj Sharma, Registrar; besides deans and other senior university officers.
