Delegations call on LG, raise public welfare and development issues

SRINAGAR, Jul 14: Several individuals met Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Tuesday and apprised him of issues concerning public welfare and development in different parts of Jammu and Kashmir.
Former District Development Council (DDC) member from Vijaypur, Shilpa Dubey, called on the Lieutenant Governor and projected various issues of public importance.
Former Sarpanch of Flora Nagbani, Vandana Kumari, also met the Lieutenant Governor and appreciated the impact of the Nasha Mukt Jammu Kashmir Abhiyaan in creating awareness against substance abuse and protecting the youth from drug addiction.
Social activist Dr. Sheikh Jamsheed Ahmad from Handwara separately called on the Lieutenant Governor and raised various welfare issues concerning different sections of society, with particular emphasis on the needs of specially-abled persons.
