Sunil Sharma visits martyr Ashiq Hussain Qureshi’s family in Budgam

SRINAGAR, Jul 24: Leader of Opposition in the Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly Sunil Sharma on Friday visited the residence of martyred Head Constable Ashiq Hussain Qureshi in Budgam and expressed condolences to the bereaved family.
Paying tributes to the slain policeman, Sharma said the supreme sacrifice of Head Constable Qureshi in the line of duty would always be remembered with honour and respect. He offered prayers for the departed soul and expressed solidarity with the family during the difficult time.
He said the entire nation stands with the family of the martyr and assured them of continued support.
During the visit, Union Home Minister Amit Shah spoke to the martyr's son over the phone and conveyed his condolences to the family. Shah also assured them of the Union Government's full support and assistance. Sharma appreciated the Home Minister's outreach to the bereaved family, saying it reflected the Union Government's commitment towards the families of security personnel who lay down their lives in the service of the nation.
Reiterating his commitment to the welfare of martyrs' families, Sharma said the sacrifices of security personnel would always be honoured and their families would continue to receive the respect and support they deserve.
