Lakshmi Narayan Mandir Trust provides free accommodation, meals to 3,500 Amarnath pilgrims

JAMMU, Jul 26: Shri Lakshmi Narayan Mandir Management Trust, Gandhi Nagar, has provided free accommodation and meals to around 3,500 pilgrims undertaking the Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra since July 1, officials of the Trust said.
The Trust made arrangements for accommodation, freshly prepared meals, clean drinking water, sanitation, uninterrupted electricity, medical assistance and other essential facilities for the pilgrims.
Around 170 to 200 pilgrims were accommodated at the temple premises every day, with devotees arriving from different parts of the country as well as Nepal.
Trust officials said special Shiv Aarti was performed every evening at the temple, with pilgrims participating in prayers and devotional activities before proceeding on their pilgrimage.
The pilgrims appreciated the arrangements and hospitality extended by the Trust during their stay in Jammu. The arrangements were undertaken under the supervision of Trust president V.K. Abrol, Secretary S.C. Rekhi and Treasurer and Convenor Krishan P. Gupta, along with trustees, special invitees and volunteers.
Among those associated with the initiative were Sumesh Damral, Sandeep Singh, Ved Verma, P.C. Gupta, Kapil Slathia, Parshant Sharma, Karan Singh, Tarun Gupta, K.B. Magotra, Prem Sharma, Gambhir Dev Singh Charak, Uma Sharma, Kiran Rajput, Kulbhir Singh Chib and Pankul Vaid.
The Trust thanked the district administration, police, security forces, Jal Shakti and Power Devel-opment departments, Jammu Municipal Corporation, volunteers, donors, media and the public for supporting the arrangements.
It reaffirmed its commitment to continuing religious and humanitarian activities and sought public cooperation in maintaining cleanliness, harmony and sanctity of the temple during forthcoming religious festivals.
