Maiden meeting of MY Bharat District Advisory Committee held

JAMMU, Aug 11: The first meeting of the District Advisory Committee of MERA YUVA BHARAT (MY Bharat), Jammu was held today under the chairmanship of Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) Jammu Vidhu Shekhar.
At the outset, District Youth Officer, MY Bharat, Vivek Kumar presented a detailed overview of the initiative of the Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports, Government of India. He informed that MY Bharat aims to enroll and register youth in the age group of 15 to 29 years on its digital platform, which connects them with opportunities for volunteering, experiential learning, mentorship, leadership programmes and national initiatives, besides enabling them to build a verified digital profile and participate actively in nation-building.
The committee deliberated on the strategy for achieving cent percent youth registration, inter-departmental convergence, promotion of Experiential Learning Programmes (ELPs) and participation in national campaigns for engaging youth in the district.
Addressing the meeting, the ADC called for concerted efforts to enhance youth enrollment across the district. He highlighted the pivotal role of schools, colleges and other educational institutions in mobilising students for registration on the MY Bharat portal and stressed effective coordination among all stakeholder departments for implementation of the programme in letter and spirit.
The meeting was attended by Chief Planning Officer Ajaypal Singh, Deputy Director Employment Sunaina Saini, Culture Officer Rajinder Digra besides other officers and members of the committee. APA MY Bharat, Anmol was also present.
