NCC cadets spend morning with elderly residents at Vridh Ashram

Jammu, Aug 22: The Home for the Aged & Infirm (Vridh Ashram), Ambphalla, witnessed a musical morning as Madhu Bala, NCC Officer, MIER College, B C Road, along with 32 NCC cadets, visited the facility and interacted with elderly residents.
The visit provided an opportunity for intergenerational interaction, with the cadets presenting a musical programme featuring songs and guitar performances. The residents also participated enthusiastically, singing songs and devotional bhajans.
The gathering created a warm and cheerful atmosphere, with the interaction providing the residents an opportunity to spend meaningful time with the young cadets.
Dr Dinesh Gupta, Secretary, appreciated Madhu Bala and the NCC cadets for their initiative and for sharing their time and talent with the residents.
Er Vijay Gupta, Joint Secretary; Dr B B Sharma, former CMO and Medical Officer, Home Dispensary; Sr Rajinder Singh, Sat Pal Sharma and Mrs Sudha Gupta, committee members, were also present.
The staff of the Home assisted in coordinating the visit and facilitating interaction between the cadets and residents.
The Home expressed gratitude to MIER College and NCC for the initiative, saying such programmes help foster companionship and strengthen bonds between generations.
