IIM Jammu hosts management immersion programme for IILM University MBA students

JAMMU, Sep 7: The Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Jammu on Monday commenced a five-day Management Immersion Programme for 65 MBA students of IILM University, Gurugram.
The programme, scheduled from September 7 to 11, aims to provide participants with exposure to the academic environment, pedagogy, institutional ecosystem and learning resources of IIM Jammu.
The inaugural programme was presided over by Prof Jabir Ali, Dean, Faculty and Research, IIM Jammu, in the presence of Prof Prashant Mishra, Chairperson, Executive Education and Consultancy (EE&C), IIM Jammu, Dr Ashish Kumar, Programme Director, Dr Sarbjit Singh, Programme Director, Dr Satish Kumar and Dr Manpreet Kaur, faculty members of IILM University, Gurugram.
Dr Garima Saini is also the Programme Director for the training programme.
Addressing the participants, Prof Jabir Ali emphasised active participation, knowledge sharing and co-creation of knowledge, urging the students to engage meaningfully in classroom discussions and make the most of their five-day immersion.
He encouraged them to interact with faculty and students, ask questions and explore learning opportunities beyond the classroom. He also highlighted the Nalanda Library and other campus facilities and gave an overview of IIM Jammu@10, outlining the institute's growth over the past decade and its international accreditations.
Prof Prashant Mishra highlighted the role of EE&C in bridging industry and academia and outlined its various programmes and initiatives.
He said management education involved embracing diversity and change and urged the participants to consider time as their most valuable investment. He encouraged them to participate actively, ask questions and engage in meaningful interactions during their stay at the institute.
