Hindi Day celebrated at GDC Nowshera

Jammu, Sep 14: Hindi Day was celebrated with enthusiasm at Government Degree Colle-ge (GDC), Nowshera, under the guidance of Principal Prof Mohammad Sadiq.
The programme aimed to highlight the importance of Hindi language and literature and encourage students to take an active interest in the language. This year's theme was "From Traditional Knowledge to Wisdom", highlighting the connection between India's traditional knowledge and modern technology.
The programme began with the lighting of a lamp, followed by Saraswati Vandana presented by students.
Essay-writing, poetry recitation and poster-making competitions were organised as part of the celebrations, with 50 students participating.
Through the essay-writing competition, students expressed their views on traditional knowledge, Indian culture, Hindi language and artificial intelligence. Participants in the poetry recitation competition presented their compositions with confidence and creativity, while the poster-making competition provided an opportunity to interpret the theme through drawings, colours and creative ideas.
The programme was coordinated by Head of the Department Prof Priyanka Kumari and Assistant Professor Sonali Katharia.
The event provided students an opportunity to hone their writing, creative and artistic skills while understanding the relevance of Hindi in the technological era.
Principal Prof Mohammad Sadiq appreciated the active participation of students and encouraged them to promote Hindi language and literature while keeping pace with modern technology.
