JU Kathua Campus holds guest lecture on management skills, career opportunities

JAMMU, Sep 15: The Management School, Kat-hua Campus, University of Jammu, organised a guest lecture on "From Campus to Corporate: Manage-ment Skills & Future Opportunities" for its students.
The session was addressed by corporate expert Abhimanyu Singh Jasrotia and Rahul Padha, Regional Manager, Dr. Reddy's Laboratories Ltd., who served as resource persons.
Jasrotia shared his industry experience and practical insights with the students, drawing upon his professional journey in the pharmaceutical sector and experience of working with leading organisations and managing diverse regional markets.
He highlighted the professional competencies required to succeed in the corporate sector and encouraged students to look beyond academic qualifications by developing practical skills and preparing themselves for the changing demands of the workplace.
Padha emphasised that academic excellence needs to be complemented by practical competence and professional confidence. He urged students to identify and work on their areas of weakness while strengthening communication, decision-making, interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
He also stressed the importance of adaptability, resilience and continuous learning in responding effectively to professional challenges and opportunities.
The interactive session provided students with practical perspectives on transitioning from campus to corporate life and preparing for future careers.
Prof. Arvind Jasrotia, Rector, Kathua Campus, congratulated the Management School for organising the lecture and emphasised the importance of aligning academic learning with industry requirements.
He appreciated the initiative for providing students with practical exposure and said such academic and industry-oriented programmes would continue to be organised for the holistic development of students and to prepare them for future challenges and opportunities.
