IIM Jammu hosts management immersion programme for IILM University MBA students

Jammu, Sep 21: The Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Jammu has commenced a five-day Management Immersion Programme for 67 MBA students of IILM University, Gurugram.
The programme, being held from September 21 to 25, aims to provide the students with exposure to the academic environment, teaching methods, institutional ecosystem and learning resources at IIM Jammu.
The inaugural session was presided over by Prof. Prashant Mishra, Chairperson, Executive Education and Consultancy (EE&C), IIM Jammu. Dr Archana Sharma, Dr Sundar R, Dr Sunita Dwivedi and Dr Yavar Eshan, faculty members of IILM University, were also present. Dr Mahesh Gadekar is the programme director. Addressing the participants, Prof Mishra highlighted the role of EE&C in strengthening industry-academia linkages and outlined its various programmes and initiatives. He encouraged the students to actively participate in the sessions, interact with faculty members and make effective use of their time during the programme.
Dr Archana Sharma, Programme Director, gave an overview of the five-day programme and said it was designed to provide participants with knowledge, diverse perspectives and practical tools relevant to contemporary management challenges.
Dr Sunita Dwivedi of IILM University stressed the importance of experiential learning, industry exposure and applying management concepts to real-world situations.
The inaugural session began with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp and included a welcome address, programme overview and vote of thanks by Dr Sundar R. It concluded with the National Song and National Anthem.
